IRVING ANNIVERSARY / IAM GRAND OPENING
The Irving Archives and Museum had it’s soft opening on December 19, 2019, the 116th anniversary of the city’s beginnings. Founders J.O. Schulze and Otis Brown, railroad employees sent to survey a route between Fort Worth and Dallas, decided that this area would be an ideal site for a town. They bought 80 acres from the Britain family in 1902, then sold the first lots at a public auction on December 19, 1903.
The Irving Archives and Museum will officially open in early 2020. Check back for the official Grand Opening date.
